Terms and conditions of sale

September 22, 2026

Purpose

These terms govern the sale of private French lessons taught online, one-to-one or in a pair, by video call.

The seller is Alexandre Riahi.

Placing an order on this site means accepting these terms and the cancellation policy in full; the policy forms part of these terms.

Services and prices

Prices are offered in US dollars (USD), euros (EUR) or pounds sterling (GBP), at the customer's choice when ordering; the amount charged is the one displayed in the chosen currency, all taxes included. Prices may change at any time; the price that applies is the one displayed when the order is placed.

Ordering and payment

Orders are placed online. Before paying, the customer sees a summary of the purchase: the package, the number and length of the lessons, the price and currency, how long the credits stay valid and the main cancellation conditions.

Payment is due when the order is placed. It is processed by PayPlus (PayPlus Ltd.), which provides the secure payment page, and acquired by MAX (Max It Finance Ltd.), the financial institution that executes the transaction. Accepted methods: card and, where offered on the payment page, Apple Pay and Google Pay.

No card details are collected or stored by the seller: they are entered directly on the provider's payment page.

The order is confirmed once payment has been received. A confirmation e-mail containing your personal code is then sent to you.

Package validity and credits

Each package is converted into credits: one credit is one 50-minute lesson. Booking uses a credit; cancelling in time returns it.

You can check your balance at any time on the site by entering your e-mail address and your personal code.

Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. They are personal, cannot be transferred to anyone else and cannot be exchanged for a refund outside the cases set out below.

Cancelling an order (package or trial lesson)

Cancelling an order means giving up a purchase: a package or a trial lesson paid for on this site. It is separate from cancelling a booked lesson, covered in the next section.

You have fourteen days from your order to cancel the purchase and be refunded, provided no lesson from the package has been taken yet. Once the first lesson has taken place, this right ends: no refund is possible after that point, regardless of the date. Your remaining credits stay usable as normal, under the rules for cancelling a booked lesson (next section).

To cancel an order before any lesson has been taken, use the Cancel an order form or write to makefrenchyours@gmail.com, giving the e-mail address used for the purchase and your personal code. Refunds are made within fourteen days of receiving the request, using the same payment method as the original order. Any remaining credits are deactivated on cancellation.

Cancelling a booked lesson

Cancelling a lesson frees a booked slot without giving up your package: the credit returns to your balance when the cancellation is made in time.

A lesson can be changed or cancelled up to 12 hours before it starts, through the link in the booking confirmation e-mail. After that point the lesson is due and the credit is used.

The other rules — lateness, no-shows, cancellation by the teacher — are set out in the cancellation policy.

Liability

Lessons require a working internet connection and equipment, which are the student's responsibility. If a technical problem is attributable to the teacher, the lesson is rescheduled without using a credit.

The seller undertakes to teach with care and diligence but cannot guarantee a specific outcome, as progress also depends on the student's own involvement.

The seller cannot be held liable for temporary unavailability of the site or of the third-party booking and payment services.

Complaints, governing law and disputes

If something goes wrong, an amicable solution is always sought first: write to makefrenchyours@gmail.com describing your request.

These terms are governed by the laws of Israel. This does not deprive the customer of any mandatory protections granted by the law of their country of habitual residence, where such protections apply.

Failing an amicable agreement, the dispute is brought before the competent courts, without prejudice to the protective jurisdiction rules that apply to consumers.
