Data controller
Alexandre Riahi. Contact for anything concerning your personal data: makefrenchyours@gmail.com.
This policy explains what data is collected, why, who it is shared with, how long it is kept and how to exercise your rights.
Data collected
When booking: first and last name, e-mail address, time zone, stated level, preferred format and anything you choose to write in the form.
When purchasing: the e-mail address linked to the payment, the package or lesson bought, the currency, the amount and the transaction reference. Card details are entered directly on PayPlus's payment page; they never pass through this site and are never stored here.
During lessons: the shared working document contains your transcribed speech, the related corrections and the materials prepared for you.
When you request a cancellation or write to us: the information you give us to handle your request.
No data is collected for advertising purposes, and no data is sold or passed to third parties.
Why this data is collected
Managing bookings, payments, credits and lessons: performance of the contract.
Sending confirmations, reminders, receipts and video-call links: performance of the contract.
Personalised lesson preparation, transcription and exercises: performance of the contract.
Keeping accounting records: legal obligation.
Answering your requests, complaints and cancellation requests: legitimate interest in providing proper follow-up.
Providers the data is shared with
Vercel Inc. (United States) — site hosting; receives technical connection data.
Cal.com, Inc. (United States) — booking, calendar, reminders and video-call link; receives your name, e-mail, time zone and your answers to the booking form.
PayPlus (PayPlus Ltd., Israel) — secure payment page; receives your e-mail, the amount, the currency and your card details, which this site never sees.
MAX (Max It Finance Ltd., Israel) — acquirer: the financial institution that executes the card transaction on PayPlus's behalf.
Neon, Inc. — database holding packages, codes and credits (servers in the European Union).
Resend — transactional e-mail delivery (confirmations, codes, receipts).
Supabase — the site's database (content, prices, reviews, articles, contact requests) and in-house traffic measurement (servers in the European Union).
Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) — audience measurement; see above.
OpenAI — measurement of visits, contact requests and purchases related to ChatGPT ads, only after you allow ad measurement.
Artificial-intelligence tools: see the next section.
Some of these providers are established outside the European Union. Any transfers are covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent mechanism.
Artificial-intelligence tools
To prepare materials, transcribe what students say and build exercises, the teacher relies on generative AI tools provided by third parties.
What they receive is limited to what the teaching requires: excerpts of your speech (audio or text), the related corrections, your level and the topics worked on. Your contact details, your personal code and your payment data are never passed to them.
These providers are established outside the European Union and Israel, mainly in the United States. Content is sent through professional accounts whose terms, where the option exists, exclude the use of the data to train their models.
Retention
Booking and package data (name, e-mail, code, credits, lesson history): three years from the last lesson taken or from the package's expiry.
Accounting records and payment receipts: seven years, as required by Israeli accounting rules.
Shared working documents and content sent to AI tools: kept for the duration of the coaching, then deleted on request.
Cancellation requests and e-mail exchanges: as long as needed to handle the request, then three years as evidence.
Your rights: access, correction, deletion
You can at any time ask to access the data held about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, object to processing based on legitimate interest, or obtain a copy of your data in a readable format.
To exercise these rights, write to makefrenchyours@gmail.com from the e-mail address used for your booking or purchase, stating your request. You will receive a reply within one month. Proof of identity may be requested in case of doubt.
You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority in your country of residence.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) to measure traffic: pages viewed, where visits come from and interactions with the site. Google Analytics sets audience-measurement cookies and may transfer data to Google in the United States, under the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
We also run our own, in-house traffic measurement (visit counts, clicks, where visits come from), hosted on our own database; it sets no cookies and shares no data with a third party.
With your permission, the OpenAI Pixel measures page views, checkout starts, contact requests and confirmed purchases. It may store measurement identifiers in cookies to connect these actions to ChatGPT ads. You can withdraw permission at any time using “Ad measurement” at the bottom of the page.
Apart from Google Analytics and the OpenAI Pixel when allowed, the site stores your technical choices locally, including currency and display preferences.
Fonts are hosted on the site itself: no request is made to a third-party service when the page loads for that element.
The booking and payment pages, operated by Cal.com and PayPlus, set their own technical cookies, which are necessary for them to work and governed by their respective policies.
